Gomulka, O’Neill, Sutton linked with Melbourne City

Melbourne City look set for a busy transfer period with Adelaide United youngster Taras Gomulka, Burnley loanee Aiden O’Neill and ex-Victory backup keeper Matt Sutton all linked with moves to the club.

Michael Lynch reported on the imminent signings of O’Neill (who has LONG been linked with City) and Sutton, whilst also furthering the rumours of Marco Tilio’s impending arrival from Sydney FC, while InDaily were the first to break the news on United’s Gomulka.

The Adelaide youngster has started in all five of the Reds’ fixtures since the return to play, earning himself an assist against Perth Glory. At just 18, Gomulka could be an exciting future prospect.

Aiden O’Neill is an Australia U-23 representee with A-League experience for Brisbane Roar in 2019/20 and Central Coast in 2018/19 with four goals and one assist from his 40 league appearances.

Matt Sutton has never featured at the senior level for Melbourne Victory, but could be a handy backup to Tom Glover.

In other news, Harrison Delbridge and Florin Berenguer loom as potential departures in the coming weeks, with the club said to be keen to hold on to their services despite both players being out of contract.
