In some massive news before our final game of the regular season against the Newcastle Jets, it has been announced this morning that Andrew Nabbout has signed on for another three seasons!
Nabbout, who is looking to return from injury against his former side tonight, has been an integral part of the premiership success that City has enjoyed this season. In an injury-interrupted season, Nabbout has managed 15 appearances netting two goals and five assists. Out of the 15 games that Nabbout has featured in, City has lost just one.
Nabbout was in fantastic form and was sure to be selected for national team honours alongside, Jamie Maclaren, Curtis Good and Connor Metcalfe but he tore his adductor against Adelaide United in Round 21. Normally this would be season over, but due to the sheer work ethic and desire he has shown to return he's back in the squad for the final game to try and build match fitness ahead of the Finals series.
City was lucky to acquire the services of Nabbout as he, alongside Atkinson, initially signed on to join Perth Glory for Season 20/21, but COVID travel restrictions and salary cap changes meant that he was available to sign, with City snapping up the talented duo.
