Brattan departs City after 3 seasons

Whilst the news may have been somewhat expected given the acquisition of Brillante’s signature yesterday, this morning’s announcement of Luke Brattan’s departure has nonetheless dampened the mood of Melbourne City fans as the much-loved midfielder leaves the club.


Having joined City in 2016, the former Brisbane Roar talisman was City’s current longest-serving player, having racked up 82 appearances for 6 goals and 12 assists during his time at Bundoora.


From his goal in the 4-1 demolition derby back in 2016/17 to his absolute worldie of a volley from outside the box against Newcastle last season, ‘Bratts’ has been an admirable team player and much-loved larrikin who’s played a key role in creating countless great memories for City fans over the past three campaigns.
